The Bagel Man in Phoenix

Gave this place 5 stars for the food only. Its not the best for sitting and eating unless you sit outside. Inside is pretty warm. But the bagels are the best in the valley! Baked to a perfect crust with a tender inside. I'd go every day if I could.

The best bagels since the east coast. Dont be late, they do run out. Great bagel sandwiches as well.

The owner is a great guy from New York .. im assuming. The bagels are really really good. So is their chicken salad. Get there early on weekends because the bagels go quickly!

First time. Selection of bagels down to about 5! A breakfast sandwich and Coke, over $7. Egg bagel was crusty and not soft! Flavor of the egg, cheese and bacon sandwich was bland. Staff was friendly! Sorry, but Einstein Bagels, is far better. Probably, won't go back.

I wasn't sure what to expect when walking in, I didn't check reviews first because I always give bagel places a chance. I'm from Ohio and miss the great Jewish NY-style deli's I had all around me, because there is a serious lack of them in Arizona. However, Bagel Man has the best bagels in the valley. They have great varieties and are incredibly delicious and last for longer than most you would get at Chompie's or some other fake deli. The owner was awesome, he introduced himself and was doing everything well. They serve Boar's Head meat which is the best if you ask me and they have some variety for being a small place. I recommend this place to all for a nice little lunch or bringing bagels home or to the office.

Been there once. So impressed about the bagels. They offer so many types of bagel and home made spread. The bagel is so big and I’m glad they cut it in half. I can only finish half of it. I suggest people to go there early. When I went at 9, they ran out of half of the flavors of bagels. The spread with diced smoked salmon is the best

Since day one this place has been special. Best bagels in Phoenix area by a long shot. Worth the drive from anywhere in the valley. Owner is a wonderful man. Always so excited when work brings me to the 10 and Elliott in the morning. So are my coworkers. Thanks for existing!!!

Didn't have time to visit for over a year while my wife was pregnant and after child birth. They remembered our usual order as if we'd never stopped. Ford is great, service is better.

Have been going there for years, but placed an order the night before & just before it was to be delivered, said they were out of what we ordered. Called the owner was very nasty, said he has nothing to do with Grubhub. Will not be going there again

Great bagels... if you can get one. I moved here at the beginning of the year and sought out my must-have bagels. I found this place through online recommendations and tried it out. I didn't mind the 30-60 minute wait that accompanies any trip here on a weekend and while I was consistently disappointed that they rarely had all of the bagels I wanted to order on any given day, I could understand. However two times in the past three months I have driven the 30 minutes it takes me to get here, during posted business hours, and found the shop to be closed. In spite of the tasty bagels, I'm no longer rolling the dice on when this guy decides he wants to open or close. Oh, and don't bother calling to see, they don't seem to answer their phone either way. If you want a great bagel in the East Valley head to The Nosh Cafe or take yourself to the West Valley and get a superior bagel at Hot Bagels & Deli.

I love The Bagel Man. Not only did we get to personally Meet The Bagel Man who in my opinion is functionally retired in Arizona but the speed of service and the quality of the bagels were phenomenal. We only found this place because we are saying across the street and Sheraton and needed an early morning breakfast before going to a sporting event. We wholeheartedly recommend this location if you are looking for a good New York style bagel. As evidenced in my photo babies love the bagel man as well.

Delicious bagels. They didn't just give you a smearing of cream cheese. You get a very generous amount. Great service AND great price. I wish there was a location in Gilbert.

Yum! What more can I say. I’ve lives in Ahwatukee for 7 years and have never gone to The Bagel Man. I’ve gone to chain stores. I tried Bagel Man for the first time in January, and have been back 4 more times. Great value, friendly staff, and tasty bagels!

Great sized breakfast bagel for the price. Fresh ingredients. Fast and very friendly service. Clean dining area and lots of customers on a Monday morning. This is definitely a good option for breakfast coming into Phoenix from Tucson

I love this place! The bagels are fresh, the spreads are amazing, and the staff is very friendly. My favorite bagle is the cinnamon raisin (toasted) with the honey walnut spread. Must have!

True northeast bagels, in Phoenix! Yes, it is possible! They’re boiled then baked, chewy yet soft, and covered in flavoring on BOTH sides (the right way!) Amazing homemade cream cheese, real Lox, and they even have pork roll. If you’re from the NY/NJ area and missing home, go to the Bagel Man immediately!

When you hire workers who don't speak English, they might not understand what not toasted means. My non toasted request was not honored and the breakfast was horrible.

This place has, by far, the best bagels in the Phoenix area. My "go to" favorite is bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. However, these bagels are a great beginning to any sandwich you might want. Call, the owner, sees to it that everyone is taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. Seating inside is very limited but some outside tables take up some of the slack in decent weather.

This place is good. They're super busy in the morning so make sure you have about 15 minutes to spare. They are worth the wait. I have the feeling their bagels are what a bagel should be.

Terrible place. People behind the counter were extremely rude and the food was stale and cold. Not worth the price we paid, or the long line we stood in. I dont get the positive reviews as it was completely 180 compared to what we went through. On top of that, I've tried several times to communicate with management to no avail. Save your money and go elsewhere

After reading the New Times review we decided to grab a bagel at The Bagel Man. The bagels are huge, chewy & they have Salt which is my favorite. The husband had Cinnamon Raisin with regular cream cheese. He liked it as well. Also they have lots of different cream cheeses. We will be back.
